~For The Jazzers~

SilverFox endorser Fred Domulot, who has toured and performed with too many jazz artists to list here, will be performing clinics and concerts at the Northwest Florida State College Jazz Festival on Thursday, April 5th. This is a great opportunity to see some jazz greats performing and teaching their particular styles. We just found out that legendary bass player and tubaist extraordinaire Joe Murphy will also be joining in the festivities!!!

Fred is a founding member of The Guffman Trio, a jazz band out of Florida and “regulars” at most jazz festivals in the Southeast and around the Gulf Coast. He is also an adjunct professor at Northwest Florida State College, a songwriter, lyricist, producer, and all around good guy. His professional affiliations include Florida Music Educators Association, Florida Collegiate Music Educators Association, Florida Jazz Educators Association, Jazz Education Network, Film Musicians Secondary Markets Fund, and the American Federation of Musicians Union #389.

Here’s Fred (a big supporter of the SilverFox Sweet Pea)with The Guffman Trio performing at the Pensacola Jazz Festival!

James Irvin: One Of The Youngest “Classic Drummers” Out There!

We just saw the nice article written about SilverFox artist James Irvin in the most recent Classic Drummer Magazine for his work with blues great Microwave Dave and the Nukes. Microwave Dave has received rave reviews on his albums going back two decades and from all around the world. Since most of their performances are in the southern United States (Alabama specifically), I would strongly suggest visiting their show listings, find the closest show and have some fun!

James is also a multi-instrumentalist, who has been seen playing guitar, bass, vocals, and more! He even released a solo record a couple years ago where he played all of the parts!

Check out his website for more detailed information! http://www.jamesirvinmusic.com

James likes to swing with the SilverFox 5A and Sweet Pea models (two of my favorites too!)

– Endorser Adam Argullin has started a new project called “Shed Ready“. “Shed Ready is a set of principles for drummers to incorporate into their routine to maximize their output through positive gains. To put it in English, we want to motivate drummers to be the best they can be at their craft…Adam’s vision was to encourage drummers to work with each other instead of competing with one another; to share ideas and concepts; to learn to play together, rather than against.” If you are interested in hosting a Shed Ready class or just want to learn more, please feel free to contact Adam HERE.

– Endorser Zhach Kelsch has been hitting hard non-stop lately. One of his many gigs DIVE recently signed with CEG Talent Agency. Zhach recorded 5 tracks at Phaseone Studios in NYC for DIVE’s acoustic EP to be released by Phaseone/Madrock/Sony RED. Zhach also recorded drums for Tim Farley’s debut solo album, which was released on July 19 and debuted at #2 on the Joe Nardone’s Gallery of Sound charts; outselling Adele, Cold, and 3 Doors Down. Keep it up Zhach!

Rob Schmidt’s band Battlefields was recently featured on Brooklyn Vegan. Read it HERE!

Matt Norcross and his band Leaving Springfield are finishing up writing for a new CD and plan to start recording this fall/winter. Their next show is at the Palace Station Casino in Las Vegas, inside the Louie Anderson Theater on Monday September 26th. Check out their video for “Johnny Sunshine”…

Our Artist Roster Keeps On Growing!

This week we welcome two new artists, Dan Pawlovich of the band Valencia and Brian “B-Nut” Braziel who has been playing with world-famous bassist Larry Graham and his funk band Graham Central Station.

Valencia joins the SFX team in time for their “On Your Side Tour” which features: “A Rocket To The Moon, Anarbor, Runner Runner” and “Go Radio”. A 7″ vinyl, “B-Sides and Rarities” has been released and the band will auction off copies and donate all of the proceeds to the American Red Cross to support victims of the earthquake in Japan! Keep up with Valencia online: Official Website, Facebook , and Twitter.

Drummer “B-Nut” is now touring with Larry and Graham Central Station. They recently opened for (the artist formerly known as) Prince, playing shows around the world. Keep up with Graham Central Station online: Official Website, Facebook.

Switching to our SilverFox Boston Basher model, Dan claims, I have not broke one single stick yet, and I’m a heavy hitter! Overall quality is A+++“.

B-Nut has switched to our SilverFox Sweet Pea model because I like the fact that SilverFox sticks feel great. You can feel the strength of them and these sticks will never bend like some that I’ve used in the past.”
